Hannah's Chocolate Pudding recipe (for Taskmaster nights)

After years of family members making this recipe their own, Hannah had to go back to the source material (her mother's recipe book from her young adult years) to find the intended way to make this delicious chocolate pudding. Then she went ahead and made it her own anyway!

Hannah swears that the dutch oven (like a casserole dish with a lid) makes all the difference here. Lid on for super saucy, fudgy choc pudding goodness. Oh, and also she'd like to point out if you don't like it, it's probably your cocoa! Try Donovan's Cocoa for the win!

30g butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
2 dessertspoons cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
plus for topping:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
2 dessertspoons cocoa
2 cups boiling water

1. In a dutch oven, melt butter and milk on the stove. Add vanilla essence.
2. Mix dry ingredients together then add them to the milk/butter mixture. Mix to combine.
3. Combine the dry ingredients for the topping, then sprinkle over top of wet mixture.
4. Pour the boiling water over the top.
5. Bake with lid on at 180
°C for 45 minutes.
